I suppose Ardboe with the McGuigans and Kyle Coney in their forward line though they ain't going too well yet.

It's a very strange question. The game isn't that black and white. There are so many aspects to a game. The goal keeper mightn't be able to beat 3 men but is in that position as that's were his strenghts are. The same could be said about a corner back. He mightn't be able to field a high ball in the middle of the park run 20 yards and kick it over the bar but he could still be a great corner back winng the ball and completing a good pass out of defence. This could be their natural talent. The trick is playing them to their strenghts.

Bit of a turnaround for Clann Na Gael, anyone know if Dooher and O'Neill were playing?

Owen Roes Thirteen Men Denied
[/u][/size]

Fixture: Beragh v Owen Roes

Score: 0-10 to 0-9

A good Owen Roes display amounted for nothing in Beragh on Sunday afternoon as the home side came from 3 points down with a few minutes to play to nick it by a single kick. However the visitors will look to the dismissals of Davy Harte and Stephen Dooher as being pivotal moments of a keenly fought contest.

The Leckpatrick side welcomed back Declan McCrossan to the starting fold after injury, and also Kevin O'Donnell after a year's absence through injury. The returning McCrossan stroked over an early free for his side, but only after a score from Ronan Parker for the O'Neills.

Owen Roes' positive start was reinforced via a point from wing forward Ryan Stewart, and another McCrossan free to take a 0-4 advantage while Beragh had not troubled the scoreboard at this point.

Martin Rogers got the Beragh account up and going with a dead ball, before McCrossan's free restored the four point lead. At the stroke of half-time Rogers doubled his free tally to leave three in it at the short whistle.

Half Time: Beragh 0-2 Owen Roes 0-5

McCrossan was again on target early in the second period to etch out a slight advantage, but Beragh struck back with a couple of points of their own to keep within distance of the visitors.

Back came Owen Roes and McCrossan collected his fourth point before his side saw their compliment reduced with the sending off of Davy Harte. Rogers and McCrossan again traded dead balls before Beragh's numerical advantage became two as Stephen Dooher also saw his afternoon ended prematurely.

Rodgers' accuracy from dead balls made the gap two but substitute Andy Devine restored the three point cushion on 55 minutes with his placed kick sailing over.

However the contest was not yet over, and with the 13 men defending deep Beragh bounced forward with thee points in a row to level it up. Dspite leading for much of the contest the visitors were going to get nothing for their toils, and when Rodgers dispatched a free kick in injury time that was it for the day.

This result signalled the second single score defeat in a week for Owen Roes, who emerged from this fixture with nothing to show for their efforts. Killyman make the trip next Sunday with the Leckpatrick side keen to arrest their recent record.

Final Whistle

Moy prevailed in a re-run of the 2008 Intermediate Final by the banks of the river Blackwater. Trillick missing their up and coming star in Mattie Donnelly and it showed at times as quality ball was not being delivered into Niall Gormley. Moy got off to the perfect start when marauding corner back Mark "moooo" Jordan rattled the back of the Trillick net with less than 2 minutes on the clock. Trillick were stunned and Moy took advantage tagging two more on before Trillick gradually started stringing some passes together and delivering proper ball into the former county panelist Gormley. Only for a first class save from the moy keeper were Trillick not ahead at the break.

Half time Moy 1-4 Trillick 0-05.

At half time, a deluge arrived which made handling and any hope of some more attractive football diminish. Moy tagged on a couple (Thomas Conlon and Sean Cavanagh)  before Trillick got going again mand got two from frees. The major score of the second period came from a penalty when a penetrative sean Cavanagh was dragged down in the small rectangle. Ryan mellon converted the resulting spot kick.
Moy 2-09 Trillick 0-08

Great win for the Moy, Trillick are a lot better than the result suggested.
