Childhood memories flying back!
Some spot!
Lived in Killybegs as a teenager, I spent many an evening sweating my arse off on the beach during football training, great memories. Of course I took the beauty of the area for granted when I lived in the area, I plan to go back up there next month when home and show my wife around.

depending how you look at it... lough derg.... when its 6am and u watch the sun dawn with just the sound of the water is some else...... now in saying that you will be awake 40hrs, no food and have been bare-foot and have the knees cut of you, but it definitely will experienced tranquility..

Some spot. Learned to swim here, swam with seals on new years day 1996. It was feckin baltic. Then into killybegs for a good feed of plaice and chips on the way home.
