Zooming out a bit here now and I am just curious. How bad would the Midterms need to be before the Republicans even think about moving from him and MAGA? There's no way anyone will stick their neck out but there could be some background machinations.

Then looking ahead to 2028 who will be anointed by Trump? You could see someone like Erika Kirk coming on the scene more. Mayhe her and Vance on the ticket.

I think you have to differentiate the demagogue fawning over Kirk's death from indifference or indeed highlighting the fact that the social issue blighting America that ultimately resulted in Kirks death is something he himself said was a price worth paying to ensure the 2nd amendment was sacrosanct.

The rush to label anything and everything far left or far right in the US is staggering IMO.
