Of course he will be blaming everyone but himself. RIP to all who perished.

I wonder who was on the plane

My first cousin for one.

That must be awful for you. Sorry to hear this.

Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

gallsman

Sorry to hear that SS. RIP.

Not going to lie, as soon as I heard about the crash I wondered how long it would take Trump to politicise it. An utter cretin.

Story being reported now is that the controller was covering the work of two people.

I wonder if ATC staff are among the multitude of federal workers who got the "fork in the road" i.e. the "we strongly suggest you retire" memo on Tuesday.

Per an article in Forbes 2:15 PM today citing The NY Times

"The tower at the airport has been understaffed for years"

Seemingly there's a serious shortage and has been for years

So was Trump going to reduce it further?
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

seafoid

And they've been getting away with being understaffed for years until this happens and some poor, overworked sod will take the fall.
Lessons will be learned.
Rinse and repeat.
Welcome to capitalism

No

Plus, the order specifically states it "does not prohibit making reallocations to meet the highest priority needs, maintain essential services, and protect national security, homeland security, and public safety."

Air traffic controllers, who are employed by the Federal Aviation Administration, fall under that category.

And there's this (signed on 1/25)
