I genuinely feel sorry for those who were duped into voting for him who will now suffer the consequences of his actions. People like myself will probably be okay, and in California we're unlikely to be affected much by anything Trump does. A lot of the people who will be hurt the most will probably have voted for him.

To get through the next 4 years I'm going to have to get in touch with my inner conservative and adopt an "I'm all right jack - to hell with you" attitude. Kinda like during the Troubles when you'd listen to the news with baited breath about the latest person to be shot, only to breathe a sigh of relief that you didn't know them.

It's tricky though, because being liberally minded means I can't help but have empathy.
