Plus Trump previously used the promise of pardons to neuter various investigations into him during his first term. "Say nothing boys, and I'll sort you out after!"

Quote from: Blowitupref on January 20, 2025, 10:06:35 PMMusk with the Nazi salute at the Trump's rally.  In one of Trump's first actions as president was to sign an order requiring flags to fly at full-staff on Inauguration Day. They flew at half-staff in honor of the life and legacy of former President Jimmy Carter.  Weird is just one word that that group in power now.

Not that big of a deal

Some of the bluest of blue Democratic Sates already raised them for inauguration day today (and will lower them again tomorrow)

"Not limited to Republican-led states, New York, California, and Colorado will also hoist the flag on Jan. 20 and then will lower the flag the following day."

Might not be that big of a deal if it wasn't one of first actions he made and highlighting once more the type of individual he is.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Captain Obvious

Trump wasted little time to issue pardons for January 6 Capitol riot participants.  All including himself should be sitting in a jail cell right now.

And this is exactly how he got reelected

Non stop outrage about everything

(I cant stand him, but this actually kinda makes sense. Flags are put up for the inauguration, then the following day put back at half mast)

Don't be fooling yourself.  He got reelected with his lies getting pushed to a new level with the help of Musk billions and his social media platform.

Well following that logic then he must have lost in 2020 because of the lies told about him by the traditional media

No Musk on his campaign team or was he running that social media company back in 2020.

He got reelected because of Non stop outrage is straight out of Trump himself or his supporters play book to say.

Proper non stop outrage would have transferred into stopping him for running to be president again never mind getting back in again. Instead a blind eye is turned to what he says and does with little or no action taken while in the background he grows a bigger cult following.

On the flag he's signed it into law meaning people no longer has a option on what they choose to do.  That's Trumps narcissistic behavior at work once more.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Maybe he got re-elected because Biden and the Democrats didn't do enough for the average Joe who was hit by inflation and didn't see the quality of their life improve.
No one gives a fúck for growth and GDP if it doesn't directly improve upon their every day life.

The same will happen Starmer if he keeps pandering to the Labour right.

Those pardons are straight out of some banana republic, crazy stuff from both Biden and Trump.

Hit by inflation was worldwide issue due to the fall out from the pandemic and after the last four years America are among the best countries for recovery from the high peaks reached after covid.

When voting for him in last Novembers election one of Trump's policy ideas was for big tariffs on Chinese goods, which economists believe could worsen inflation.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

naka

He got elected on
Immigration ,
Cost of living and the fact that the democrats pushed the trans gender policies which middle America don't agree with.
Reality is democrats lost the election more than trump winning it.

Captain Scarlet

Trump says something wild.
Media report and normal political heads treat it like comments from a normal politician.
Trump works away at the stuff he really wants to do.

Rinse and repeat...

The News media are obsessed with alorhtym and sound bites, and Trump gives them the engagement even if they know it's not true, they need to be part of the conversation.

TalkSport is basically some idiot pundit making some idiot statement and then all the Joe.ie, Balls and more pick it up and just rehash it. Now the traditional media's online arms are doing the same.

On social, TalkSport clip it up and it gets people screaming that the lad hasn't a clue. It may go viral, and then  job done.

Trump is TalkSport at it's worst.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

Ordinary Joe doesn't give a shít if inflation was a worldwide issue, they just know they're worse off and the other guy is promising them the sun and the stars.

On the inflation thing, how come corporate profits have soared during this time?

strange that!

Trump lifts US sanctions on Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank

Israeli officials welcome Trump's decision to remove sanctions imposed by the Biden administration.

So much for the "Trump is no different from Biden or Harris" doctrine.
