Quote from: Wildweasel74 on January 20, 2025, 10:42:48 AMHere the UK picked Boris Johnson and Truss, one a bluffer and the other out of her depth. Shocking appointments. I can't believe how bad Starmer is. Over here we pick the same all the time based solely on religion and not on ability. Are we all that stupid like Americans, apparently  so.

I made this point on Twitter the last time Tories got re-elected. Norn Irish people giving off stink about how idiotic English people are, having just that morning voted Catholic and Protestant.

Meanwhile the Irish continue to vote for property development conglomerates masked as political parties.

Yet we like to think of Americans as stupid.

Funny, but very true. Sadly

Unfortunately the Democrats completely shot themselves in the foot with the ridiculous non stop outrage from Day 1 of Trumps first term

Voters ended up with "outrage fatigue", so when something truly outrageous happened (like January 6th), they just didn't buy it.

IMO-the first Trump Impeachment and the Kavanaugh hearings turned off a lot of swing voters who decide our elections

Hopefully they get what they are looking for ;D

Democratic prosecutor or no, is irrelevant to the legal issue.

It was joke from stat to finish and probably cost the Democrats the election

77 M people who voted for him obviously see it differently to you

More aptly, they don't care.
Just that - Voters of Trump not a great moral compass...

"I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters," Trump said at a campaign rally. True dat.

If a DUP prosecutor took a case against Gerry Adams and the jury was drawn from an area where 80% of people voted for the DUP would a guilty verdict prevent you from voting for Gerry Adams at the next election ?
Why do you assume I'd vote for Gerry Adams whether a case was taken against him or not? 😀 Strange outlook from the American...

Would it prevent Sinn Fein supporters from voting for him? (Edited original

Again with the completely false equivalency. A multi generational divide of hatred and mistrust in a small part of a small country cannot accurately demonstrate the situation that Trump found himself in in NY.

The Gulf of USA he's owning

And invading Panama cause 'CHINA' is using it

He's wiping out the cartels

He's thanking the blacks and Hispanics for voting for him

State of emergency along the border

He's starting the drilling today, the barrels will be filled

Stoping the Green bill

Ending all wars, though that must be after invading Panama and making the Army the Greatest in the world again

Loving McKinley hating Teddy

Probably going to get his face on Rushmore, it will be greatest sculpture

There's not much positive to be said about a country that's President pardoned half his family and was then replaced by a President who may well pardon himself at some point. That must be the freedom they talk about so much.

Wildweasel74

Well is that not what trump was going to do. And said he woulc do himself? Biden the sense that trump a vindictive  bollix and try nail anybody who went against him.

Musk with the Nazi salute at the Trump's rally.  In one of Trump's first actions as president was to sign an order requiring flags to fly at full-staff on Inauguration Day. They flew at half-staff in honor of the life and legacy of former President Jimmy Carter.  Weird is just one word that that group in power now.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Wildweasel74

When the Fuhrer, sorry Musk gonna get the road.

The News media can't help themselves. They are still trying to report and comment on Trump like a normal politician.

Like sure he doesn't mean half what he says, so why report on it as if he is serious?!

Not that big of a deal

Some of the bluest of blue Democratic Sates already raised them for inauguration day today (and will lower them again tomorrow)

"Not limited to Republican-led states, New York, California, and Colorado will also hoist the flag on Jan. 20 and then will lower the flag the following day."

One thing I am loving is all the Zionist types coming at Witkoff.
They are on notice now he us talking about no bank cheques.

So, suddenly he is bought and paid for by Qatar. Maybe he is...but Trump wants to do business in the Middle East and might not be as keen to fund Israel.

Maybe I am reading too much into it, but even getting Bibi out to work on the deal on the Sabbath shows it's a new ball game.

Yeah, ignore the "Gulf of America" type nonsense and focus on the stuff that matters. Tax cuts for the super rich allied with slashing of services for the poor and environmental protections matters a hell of a lot more than getting upset about the latest round of insults. Shove the inflation that's to come with his economic policies back down his and Fox News's throats.
