I feel sorry for all the people who vote Tea Party and think they'll be taken care of.
The Republican elite wants to destroy the government safety net that keeps tens of millions of people from destitution. Look at Paul Ryan's budget plan

Slash spending. No tax rises.

WTF is that?

And Rick Perry's jobs plan. $2 above minimum wage is good enough. No it isn't.

I also  doubt that MikeSheehy and Tyrone's own are plutocrats who benefit from the Bush tax cuts.

:D if you'd take your head out of your hole for even a second you'd realize that the Democrats with their so called safety net have done more to aid in the destitution of the minorities in this Country under the guise of helping them than the Republicans ever could have.
Keep them down but give them just enough ensuring the vote

....problem for your lot of course is that a large proportion of minorities
are beginning to take a look around themselved and cop on to the game!

Tyrone's Own, please ignore the Democrats for a minute and please tell us why Republican policy is good for the majority of Americans.

I'm not a Republican... and so definitely don't vote with what letter follows a candidates name like most seem to around here... I vote what I deem best for the Country and if you would set aside the trolling of US hating on here for a minute, you would surely have to admit that this empty suit has failed miserably in most every facet of his policy making,
and there is no doubt in my mind that with 4 more years with not having to worry about re-election, he will drive us in to the ground good and proper!

You really expected him to offer an opinion that doesn't merely consist of ranting about Obama or liberals or those who disagree with him? :D

J and Muppet, please ignore the Republicans for a minute,
Please tell us why or how the Democratic policies we're witnessing
are good for the majority of Americans

Yep...what's that old saying of mine;
"the mind of a liberal is like the pupil of the eye...the more light you
shine on it, the more in contracts"
Surely being the eletist intellect here you can do better than that,
or is there simply no answer to it that would sit well with the choir 8)

Go on take another stab at it...why should obama be given a second term?
surely with your belief system and history of defending him, you should be able to write a thesis on the multitude of reasons  ;)

Ah I see...still nothing 8) Great idea for a question muppet, its highlighting
perfectly what most of us already know and others can't admit ;D

I'm serious TO - I've looked at some of the Republican debates and Dana is more impressive than them with the possible exception of Romney

Do you think no one noticed that you refused to answer the same question first? You aversion to history is of goldfish proportions.

Romney is the most electable of the Republican candidates but even he makes Reagan (who raised taxes, believed in the rich paying their fair share, campaigned for and achieved a reduction in the number of nuclear weapons in the world, used a teleprompter, launched air strikes against Libya with British support) look like a modern Democrat by comparison. If Reagan were alive today he'd be branded a socialist by the Tea Party extremists and run out of town. This populist blanket aversion to any and all taxation ("read my lips, no new taxes") has turned the GOP into the party of making promises they haven't a hope in hell of keeping.

Where did you pick this opinion piece from, Ed Schultz or Alan Combes....they've both been dragging this tripe around with them of late ::)
Regan also believed that Government should get out of the way, but I see
that didn't fit the agenda of both these talk shows  ::)

You lads would know all about a party making promises it had no intentions
of keeping alright :o

OK...they have been two peas in the same pod for a long long time hence the reason I registered as an Independent but there are changes afoot,
changes with the pressure of conservative thinking of getting back to basics, Smaller Government, less government intrusion into our everyday lives, a new direction that I would tend to be more aligned with compared to the Marxist actions that we've witnessed with this administration!
Your turn............

Keep them coming. Is liberal some kind of insult over there ? You could call someone a
Home Run Betty Crocker and would mean as much to the GAA fraternity as a liberal.
Most GAA fans are socialist anyway.
