Good win for us this evening in Charlestown. Mayo 5 10 Sligo 1 11. Too early to start comparing to last years but we ll take beating in Connacht. Plenty good performances and a few Colman s lads to come in yet.

Just seen the result, very disheartening, Mayo must have a serious side but i was expecting more from us this yr.

First half goals won the game for Mayo but Sligo were closer than the score suggests. David Maye was by a distance Sligo's best player. Class act. Kicked some wonderful points from play and from frees off the ground. A big, big talent. Mayo will do okay this year.

Everyone thats reported on games for our minors this yr said the same thing to, that we were closer than score suggests, i think theres a big performance in us just hopes it May 16th.

David Maye is different class, a joy to watch, weve big hopes for him.
