Whats the bookies odds on liverpool going through?  I'd take a punt at it if its good Lyon are well capable of getting a win or draw against Fiorentina, after all both teams are p*ss

Very depressing. Few weeks ago lookin at that midfield of kuyt, lucas, mascherano, benayoun, you would have been thinking we were weak in the centre not the wings. Complete opposite tonight, very disappointed, thought kuyt and benayoun offered nothing. Did either get one cross in the whole night? Voronin should be roaded full stop.

Then it goes to head to head results, since fiorentina won the first game 2-0, a 3-0 win for liverpool would put them ahead. However, a 2-0 win would have them equal and no away goals to separate them, then it would go to goal difference in which case liverpool would have needed to win the previous game against debrecen 6-0 to be ahead on goal difference.

How?

Liverpool and Fiorentina will end up on even points (10) - and have beat each other once - nullifying each other out. However Liverpool will have scored 3 goals against them and Fiorentina have only scored 2 against us
