If Trent really wants to do this, it's hard to blame him. Madrid are out there on their own on a global perception scale when it comes to the elite of the elite. Not many players get the opportunity. Hope it works out for him, personally, if he goes. Otherwise f**k Madrid!

As for FSG, I think they're doing a superb job overall.

They're doing the same thing with Alphonso Davies at Bayern, its something Juve were great at for a while and makes a lot of sense, they do stand alone as you say in being able to sit in the long grass and forecast waiting a year or 2 for the players they want for free (bar the horrifically grotesque sign-on fee and wages), meanwhile winning the CL in the meantime anyway, they have it down to an art form now, they're basically the club Utd could/should have been but for a oul bit of horse jizz

Blowitupref

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

So apparently we're now moving on from Liverpool not having played anyone yet, to them not having played anyone away from home yet.

Good job they've a nice lead!

Apart from going to a pub, is there any other way to watch tomorrows game?

Are you asking for yourself or for fans in Ireland? In the US you can watch it on NBC, Telemundo or Peacock.

Asking for someone in Ireland (who's supposedly doing Dry January)

From the Bunker

Will be happy with a 1-0 tomorrow. A lot of Pundits, fans (including negative Utd fans), etc -  losing the run of themselves.

Is there any team we'd expect to beat by more than a hatful (other than Southampton) in a fixture at home?

Besides Slot will be having one eye on the away fixture on Wednesday.

quit yo jibbajabba

Was it not as recent as couple seasons back a poor Utd team came to Anfield and got a 0 0?

It's rarely routine tho we have had some fun the last few years 🤓

Edit - last season lol

J70

Yep, counting on nothing with this game. There was the 0-0 last year, and of course the two games at OT when Liverpool played them off the pitch for large stretches, yet came out with a draw and a loss. And the 7-0 came at a time when Liverpool were in very patchy form while United were doing well.

1-0 will do nicely for me too.

Look-Up!

Rashford being out a big plus for Liverpool. I know he's lazy and Utd fans would be glad to be shot of him but he's one player I'm sure Liverpool fans will be glad to see not on the pitch. Ugarte and Fernandes should be back and normally it's the sort of game where form counts for nothing and a perfect chance for Utd to rebound, but I'm struggling to make a case for them tomorrow.
