In the push for the quadruple that's the best possible draw for Liverpool as Arsenal,Newcastle would be less flaky.  Liverpool should ease past Tottenham this Sunday also.

I can get this point of view. Just look at the table. And the injuries at Spurs.

But then delve a little deeper. There's a solitary goal in goal difference between the sides. They're a bonafide statistical anomaly. And here's another one: Spurs haven't lost by more than one goal in any competition this season.

High scoring draw is on the cards.

Reading back I must say i admired your optimism.

Lol.

Spurs couldn't compete with Liverpool's pace and directness.

Van de Ven would make it a different game. Probably not enough to win, but Liverpool would have to be even slicker against his pace. And I'm not sure that's possible, for they were excellent today.
VDV good player but with Ange style of play the better teams are going cut through them time after time regardless of who at the back.

How many teams have lead (4 with game  in hand) at Xmas and lost the league?

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Well the rate of teams top at Xmas and then going on to win is almost exactly 50% since the start of the PL.
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

That was a big win for Liverpool give the context of the past couple of matches and the need to dampen Chelsea and Arsenal's mood a little.  Wouldn't want to judge Spurs too much on the performance yesterday given the players they had out, especially in defence.  But they would have struggled to live with Liverpool's pace and intensity even with a full side.  Konate coming back in will tighten things up further.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Decent enough stuff without setting the world alight.

Jez, Leicester did stand off us once we went 2-1 up.

Slot is not afraid to run the bench.

Felt sorry for Nunez with the tight Offside Goal.

The Juggernaut rolls on........

Thought we'd always win but the longer that first half went on the more twitchy I got. 2 mins injury was a joke after all the time wasting they did so even more sweet we scored during it.

Nice set of Boxing Day results and once again MOTD will be a good watch tonight

As good as a Saint Stephens day as one could have hoped for.
Just lucky to catch Leicester at the right time though.

Vardy not even playing. Should only have counted as two points

Yet again Liverpool got a handy game against a team below them in the table. They'll be in trouble when they have to play teams above them.

them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

Another impressive display. Second half was like a training session.
West Ham were on a decent run of results also so I'm not sure the narrative that we met then at the right time will fit....
Impossible to get carried away yet with not even half the season gone yet but it is looking good for Liverpool at the moment.

14th placed Man United up next in what will be a Cup Final game for them so I'd expect them to come at us. League position never counts for anything in these games.

I don't get it. Do Man Ure try harder for Liverpool games? Which means they don't give everything when playing everyone else?
