It's a shame there always has to be a few idiots to give the trolls an excuse to become faux outraged over. I know every club has idiots and a sc**bag is a sc**bag regardless of who he supports and supporting a certain club doesn't make you a sc**bag as you are one regardless, but still this is disappointing to see. It just gives fuel to those who want to tarnish all LFC fans with the same brush.
Hope whoever is responsible is identified and dealt with appropriately.

Its getting close to the point now where it could tarnish winning the league. I dread to think what the R number will be in Merseyside in a few weeks.  :(

Ah it's not even the amount of people and lack of social distancing its more the behaviour of a few idiots.
They don't represent me or you or the majority of Liverpool fans from Liverpool or around the world but unfortunately we will now hear the usual Always the victims line etc. In a week that should be one of the greatest ever for this great club a few scumbags have to go and ruin it for the majority.

The social distancing seems to be forgotten about in a lot of places anyways so I wouldn't be too quick to point fingers for that.Take the BLM protests a few weeks ago and wasnt there images from a beach somewhere in England that was jam packed.

You could understand the first night outside Anfield, especially when people probably had a few beers watching the Chelsea-City game, but thereís no excuse for last night in a city where COVID is still a serious issue. Most are staying home, why canít these morons? The idiot shooting the firework to the Royal Liver Building will hopefully mean the end of it.

Donít think it will to be honest. Itís very now and current. A week or so itíll be forgotten, but the title wonít be. A bit like every sensational story. Idiots everywhere, silly acts, donít think it reflects on the club however, you canít control the actions of the masses unfortunately.

of course it reflects on the club. The supporters are representive of the club, if they cause trouble it reflects badly on the club and the city.
15 police officers needed medical treatment, 2 people stabbed, buildings set on fire, an ambulance attacked and damaged, Everton statues and memorials defaced. Sounds like a fun way to celebrate a title.
Whatever small chance there was of a parade now or in the future has all but disappeared. Wonder will the mayor be getting an apology from Liverpool fc and associated supporter group, turns out he was right.

No harm to you thatís absolute bollox. Supporters support the club, they are not representing the club. A player or an employee represent the club as they are under the control of the club. Supporters inside a stadium are under control of the club and their responsibility. Some mindless idiots who decide to act the fool in the City centre are not under the control of the club. Yes it absolutely reflects badly on them as supporters but it will not tarnish the league win as was the initial point, nor have a lot to do with the club directly.

I think of all the material i've seen over the last few days this one hit me in the feels the most.
It's amazing to see how far the club has come under Klopp. I had the honour of meeting him in the summer of 2015 when he was Dortmund manager at John Lennon airport. Have a nice photo from it too. Never in a million years did I think he would be Liverpool manager just a few months later, never mind what was to follow...

no harm to you but that is bollix. Supporters do more than support the club they are an extension of the club. mindless vandalism and descrution caused by Liverpool fans in the city last night reflects on the club hence the statement by Liverpool condemning it.
Why did the club make any statement if it was just mindless idiots and nothing to do with them.
Why did Chelsea ban for life the supporters who racially abused a black man on a train in Paris? Maybe cos they were seen to be representing the club and therefore bringing its name into disrepute 🤔

That doesnít mean everyone should just forget about doing all the right things.

If my neighbours were having a party every night and inviting 100 people, it doesnít mean I should do the same. Unfortunately a load of people seem to think like that... ah sure, theyíre doing that, so we will too  ::)

Because it was the correct and sensible thing to do.

Iím not trying to pin the blame on the club for the fans congregating and clearly flaunting social distancing guidelines etc, but I think the club should have released a statement the night they won the title, telling fans to be sensible, stay at home to celebrate etc. Might not have made much of a difference, but it was definitely worth trying.

They had released several videos from Klopp and Henderson particularly in the week leading up to it asking exactly that, stay at home and support from home. They couldnít have made it much clearer.

They made a statement as they could not very well ignore it could they? That would be a bit stupid. I stand by my point that the league win is not tarnished, and the few mindless idiots do not represent the club or the majority of other supporters for that matter. Of course itís an obscene, stupid thing to do, no one will deny that. However the faux outrage is little more than point scoring.

Fair enough, wasnít aware of the videos.

Iím not criticising the partying because itís Liverpoool fans. Iím criticising it because itís clearly a stupid thing to do in a feckiní pandemic! Just the same as those protests, garden parties and assholes on the beaches.

when the mayor tried to suggest Liverpool fans would gather in the city centre and at anfield to celebrate the title win, he was criticised by Liverpool fc, past players and all different supporters groups. We were told Liverpool fans were better than that and would celebrate when the time was right..turns out he was right, but no apology.
Unfortunately it only takes a few dickheads to bring attention to the club and city for all the wrong reasons.
