Pretty feckin brutal today, but nice to get the win despite that, which is unusual for us!

No Can, is he injured? He'd be a big loss for Wednesday.

Terence Trent making the exact same defensive mistake as he did v the mancs was disappointing

Picked up a injury with Germany. Should be back for city.

Wish Clyne has a few games under his belt so he could start Wednesday. Think TAA would have a rough time against Sane

Yeah I think City will be too strong over the two legs.
Just watched Match of the Day there and Liverpool blessed that Benteke is still as shite as he was when he played for us. Still a great 3 points to get.

What do we want today? A Spurs win probably puts an end to Chelsea's top 4 hopes.

Chelsea and Spurs are drawing at half time which I think is the best result for Liverpool.

Mane could have had no complaints if he got a red. Palace fans must be tearing their hair out at conceding late goals. Kelly was very good for them and milosjevic was outstanding.

3 points all that matter but City will be a different kettle of fish!

Spurs win 3-1 which leaves Chelsea 10 points behind Liverpool with a game in hand. Liverpool have a 17 goal advantage on goal difference so that effectively means if Chelsea win their game in hand they would have to make up an 8 point difference over the final 6 games.

Overall the aim would be top 4 first although 3rd be better obvs. I suppose get top 4 sorted and then see if 3rd or 2nd is still on is the viewpoint

I don't agree,why would you want Chelsea back in the race for Top 4?
Makes no difference finishing 2nd 3rd or 4th imo. Some may see it as a sign of progress for Liverpool to finish 2nd or 3rd compared to being 4th last season,but imo qualifying for the Champions League 2 years in a row would be progress enough. When is the last time they did that? And they are still in this seasons CL so plenty of progress being made wherever they finish in the Top 4 if indeed they do.

Chelsea have a long way back from here now, if they won there was suddenly 3 clubs fighting for 2 places. Not saying Chelsea are out of it yet but I was happy to see them being beaten yesterday. A draw would have been ok also.

Would love to see Liverpool have it in the bag before they go to Stamford Bridge though.
