the team utd put out was to defend , not to win the game.

Thats the sort of game lpool always stumble against, a la tonight.

Well it was certainly more a penalty than it was a free-kick and I didn't think it was a pen.

Story of the season so far. Not taking chances and leaving the opposition in the game. Hit the post 3 times. 2 wonder saves from the Norwich keeper. Poor finishing. Botton line Liverpool had the chances to win that game pulling up and didn't. One big cross and header and Norwich were level. If you don't take your chances at the top level you are going to get caught out and it's been happening all season so far.

Points dropped,not good enough. Norwich to their credit battled well i thought.
Suarez would have had a hat-trick on another night. Carroll's header miss was shocking!

Still like to see him playing and suarez playing off him.

Not a big fan of Downing, end product not his strongest suit IMHO

Sums it up pretty well Galway.
Dropping silly points to often for my liking now,Sunderland,Manure and again tonight that's 6 extra points that we lost from winning positions and games we dominated and should have won easily.

Have to say Downing has been a disappointment so far. No goals and no assists yet. Had a great chance to lash a Suarez pull back first-time in the 2nd half but insisted on taking a touch and ended up getting blocked down. He always seems to want to take an extra touch. Looks like Gerrard got through the Man U game last weekend on adrenaline alone as he seemed to run out of gas completely in the second half today. Maybe not surprising after 6 months off. His fitness is not quite there yet.

Defending for the Norwich goal wasn't too smart either. Holt is a big bollocks but Carra and Johnson between them made a very poor effort to put him off. Not helped by Reina coming out and not getting to the cross.

Best you could say is we're still 5th. This stage last season we were 18th.

Surely makes little sense to take Downing off though when your bringing on Carroll??
