Any of use us the app called Ping!? Its great. Allows you to text other iPhone users who have the app, therefore not using up any of your text messages. When you get a message, it comes up on your screen like a message would. It's free at the minute too.

I just add the names to who I want to txt. Its not that much of a pain in the ass?

As of yet I dont know any apps.

Whatapp messenger is supposed to be better than Ping. Downloaded it the other day.

Dunno, just going by the reviews. People said they left Ping to go to this one. On Ping when someone messages you does it come up instantly like a text or do you have to have the Ping app opened? I might download Ping too and give them both a trial.
