Due an upgrade - but i'm happy enough with my iphone so i was thinking about getting a blackberry torch for free - how much would i expect to get to sell it on???

I'll go at this another way. How much would you expect to get for a iPhone 3gs 16gb. The screen has some scuffs on it but not that noticeable also the silent button messes about a bit but bar those things it works perfectly!!

Be careful of what you are trying to do there.  We were in )2 the other day looking at doing the same thing for the Mrs but giving Junior the Blackberry.  To get the blackberry you have to take the Blackberry Tariff.  The data package for the Blackberry is different and won't work on the iphone.  Check it out with your provider just to be sure.

No. I have the same phone and only need to charge it every 4-5 days.

Do you have WIFI / Blue-tooth or GPS switched on? Switch them off and on as needed.

Alternatively under Accounts and Sync settings if you have background data switched on the phone is working away all the time (look under Task manager and you will see 17-18 active applications at any one time) and this seems to drain the battery quite quickly.

EDIT: Just realised this advise is about 9 months too late.

Wouldn't like to be using it as my main phone but as a mini tablet I'd say it be great.

Yeah I think it might look stupid as a phone making calls but in truth I mostly use my phone (iPhone 4) for texts and Internet. Considering it but struggling with the leap from apple

Looking at that phone too. I got the new iPhone 4 when it was released in July 2 years ago. 2 year contract. I think apple is gonna miss out on a lot of renewals by not releasing the iPhone 5 this July. It's either move to simplicity or to android for me as I see little attraction in the 4S tbh.
