How aware is anybody on the board of Soupy Norman?? Possibly one of the funniest things to have been put on tv.  First came across it last xmas and hadn't a clue what was going on! Absolutely hilarious.

Have to say I loved it, especially the Late Late special a while back. Never understood how it didn't catch on. More lunacy for Barry Murphy, Rosenstock et al. Will never hear the name of Butivant again without giving a little smile.

I can't watch the Late Late show now without being in stitches laughing!  They are very good at Pat Kenny. When I turned it over last xmas it was on and i thought it was the LL show but the voices just weren't running in times with theirs mouths.  After a couple of mins i copped on!

Ah if you hadn't seen the original you be completely lost for a few minutes watching the special, particualrly when PAt keeps interviewing "Drico". Coincidentally I saw something based on a very similar idea last night on Paramount? Badly Dubbed Porn is it's name. Not as off the wall as Soupy, but funny none the less.

Easily missed when it's only 9 minutes long. The stuff I like in it are the setup scenes where your left wondering WTF is going on, only for it becoming apparent later - like Straz http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=COlx-LQwtvs&feature=related

Some bits can be hit and miss but in general it's top class. Like I said Buttevant will never be the same to me again.
