Going to open an account but I dont know who to go for?  Any advice on who offers the nest deals, easy access and handy to use etc?

I have accounts with Paddy Power, Boyle Sports and Ladbrokes. I check each for the best odds before placing the bet. They are all easy enough to use as far as I can tell.

Open accounts with as many as you like but Betfair for sure. It doesn't cost anything and most of them give you a free bet to start off and now you can select whoever is offering the best odds, using oddschecker.com.

However, Betfair (or one of the other exchanges, but Betfair is the biggest and so has the highest liquidity) will always be offering the best odds. So you'll find yourself only using the regular bookies for multiple bets - trebles and yankees and the like (or contributions to the bookies' benevolent fun, as they would more correctly be called), which Betfair doesn't offer (it does - but only a selected few). Remember, though, that Betfair charges a 5% (or less if you're a big user) commission on winning bets, so factor this into your comparisons.

The regular (non-exchange, ie. non Betfair) bookies are each worse than the other, but Paddy Power is worse than most.

How very true Hardy, but they're better fun!!
aside from that if you're going to open an account bear in mind that the free bonus bet for opening an account is nearly always dependent on the first bet, so for example if they say up to €50 free matched bet, you're better off making your first bet for the max amount so that you maximise the benefit, thus maybe make your first bet a €50 on something you like the look of, that should come up in the near future (as most free bets are given out when your first bet is settled).

Ah, they're no worse than any of the rest of them for a small scale punter, and their site is one of the easiest to navigate.

I've used paddypower for years now and never had any bother. Their recent site upgrade has been an improvement though!

takes all the stats of the teams and rationalises their form - home, away, prev games etc
he makes money on it - or he did last time I spoke with him
