Am I the only one that thinks the Irish Meeja spends too much time on American politics?

No, I couldn't give a feck about it either and the amount of time and money wasted on it is ridiculous. If they want to give us elections, I'd rather hear some interesting stories like Morales winning the referendum in Bolivia, or Bishop Fernando Lugo breaking 60 years of dictatorship by being elected in Paraguay, or the increasing violence in Angola ahead of their first election in over a decade or the vote rigging in Belarus.

The Yankees will look after themselves no matter who is in the White House, so whether it's Obama or McCain, it will make sweet f all difference to anyone outside the US.

Emphasizing apathy is like f**king for virginity.

I couldn't have cared less about the Denver shennanigans but yet I was force fed it by ARR-T-E (that's another bug bear. Why do RTE presented announce the 'R' as 'AAAAAR' aka Long John Silver 'ARR me Hearties) and even Newstalk 106 sent over George Hook to give me a 'live' pain in the hole.

Sure, the American President has an impact on all our lives one way or another but I'll tune in on Nov 5 thank you very much so leave me alone until then. Knowing the issues has no bearing on me as I don't have a vote.

Agree 1000%.

It's not even news what happened last night. Some lad won a nomination and made a speech zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
