Was at Croke Park yesterday for Kerry v Cork.  As a neutral I enjoyed the game and there was plenty of excitment near the end.

However, the empty spaces in the Hill and entire upper deck which were not open and the small crowd in the Lower canel end was terrible.

I think the GAA has to seriously look at its ticket prices.  The All-Ireland semi finals used to always be packed.  I know that cork and kerry would have had to travel a fair distance, but if the GAA would take the ticket prices down there would be more people travelling to games.

The players would rather play in front of a packed house and it would be a better advert for our games.

It seems we have built a stadium that is only full on All-Ireland football and hurling final days and anyday the dubs have a game on.....an of course the rugby games.

I know some people are saying that our games are not as exciting as they used to be, but half empty stadiums have a big part to play in this.

At the end of the day, the GAA give out nothing to the punters who arrive.  We need to market our games better to get more bums in seats.  Maybe a campaign for free kids places to games like this, free flags or something like this.  Make people think they are getting something instead of the whole "Grab All Assoc"

All-Ireland finals are different as everyone will want to go and most of those who go will never have been at many games all year

Any thoughts?  Has anyone on here got any contacts in the GAA to get this issue sorted out.

Imo the low attendances in CP are solely down to the tckt prices. In the past I always used to attend the Leinster hurling final and at least 3 other games not involving the Dubs, mostly decided to go on the morning of the game in question if the weather was good and I didn't have a club game to play. E35/E45 is too much to pay imo. There is a huge floating GAA support within an hour of Dublin which is simply not going to games as neutrals. This floating support could easily amount inthe past to 7/8 thousand people .

Last football I attended as a neutral was the Ulster Final replay some years ago when I got a free Premium tckt.

I'm just hoping that next Sunday we'll be getting 2 All Ireland Semi Finals for the price of 1 and a big crowd in Croke Park.

I was told that there was only 5,000 at a Galway-Cork hurling semi-final in Croke Park in the 80s. I'm not sure if this is true.

I see its been confirmed for Croke Park next Sunday.

Tyrone V Meath  12.15
Cork v Kerry  2.00
Tyrone v Wexford  4.00

What happens if there's extra time in Cork v. Kerry? Will Tyrone and Wexford have to put back on their tracksuits, warm down, calm down psychologically, etc?

i cant figure out what would be the problem in staging the replay in either Thurles or Limerick. It is not fair on either set of suppoerters to travel again next weekend. They could also have the minor replay on before it......

Blanketattack, without checking it fully, I think the attendance ws 8,000 odd and in 1985/1986.Played in a downpour which explains low attendance.
