Seriously what does it matter which is the strongest province? At the end of the day its all comes down to who the best team is it doesn't matter a f**k what province they come from..
100% agree, but its quite satisfying to see the Ulster sides doing so poorly given how they remind us regularly how great Ulster is  ;)
J70 hit the nail on the head.
not all ! ! !

I think that apart from kerry, all sides would find it hard to win the ulster , going through that minefield of a championship.

Its still the hardest province to win, but still guarantees feck all for actually winning the AI afterwards - as armagh have demonstrated.

Munster, connachts and Leinster all have at most two teams that could win each provincial title.

I would also rate Cork as a team with enough talent (and now a driving , aggressive enough smart hoor managing them) and potential to challenge kerry for the title, with the dubs there or thereabouts for talent but not in terms of manager

Lynchboy - only 2 teams have won an Ulster title in the last 10 years so how can you say that anyteam can win it or that it is a minefield anymore??? Possibly hardest to win as it is filled with middle of the road teams.....If you took Dublin out of Leinster than a lot of teams would have an even chance of winning it...

well looking at it that way you would think so, but if you actually followed each round of th eulster championship , round by round, then I'd think you would have a diff perspective on it.
you know the old adage about stats. I fully endorse what I prev mentioned.

take the dubs out of leinster and its a case of who isnt as bad as they were prev.
meath have proven that they were a flash in the pan last year, as I had thought.Any team is capable of a good run at any stage, as this shows.
- thats what is the norm in ulster.
..........

ONeill

Antrim beaten by Cavan
Armagh beaten by Wexford
Cavan beaten by Kildare
Derry beaten by Monaghan
Donegal beaten by Monaghan
Down beaten by Wexford
Fermanagh beaten by Kildare
Monaghan beaten by Kerry
Tyrone beaten by Dublin (scenario)

Going by this it does seem Leinster are the more dominant of the two.

Then again, in previous rounds Tyrone beat Louth and Westmeath, Down beat Laois, Antrim beat Wicklow.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

QuoteI think the Ulster boys did rub it in a bit on the board during the 02-05 period, so its payback time now. Not to be taken too seriously.

You are a master of understatement J70.

Don't tar us all the same. There was not the same smugness 1991-4 despite the three different counties winning

Ulster are the reigning inter-provincial champions so that makes them the best football province.

I agree. Formlines don't mean anything this year. Tyrone lose to Down, Dublin hammer Wexford, Wexford hammer Down, Tyrone hammer Dublin.
If you were any use you'd be playing.
