ipod replacement?

I have an ipod and the battery life is so short its worthless to me, can anyone recommend an mp3 player that i can use for running, one that will give me a wide selection on the shuffle function.
Ipod was an expensive mistake.

Ipod touch is the only way to go mannix. I was never a fan of the ipod originally or Apple in general but the touch is fantastic. My only gripe with it is that mine is only 16g.... I'll be buying the next one around Christmas hopefully it'll be somewhere around the 50/60g mark.

I'd recommend something from creative, I had one for five years til the earphone socket went.
Decided to fix it myself  rather than give it to someone who knew something about soldering.

Decided to try IPOD, thought I'd start with an IPOD shuffle - bad mistake. Lots of problems
transferring tracks, tracks jumping, short battery life.....it was only fifty squid but I expected
something better. Bounced it off a wall after a week and went back to creative again. Wouldn't go near
apple again.

Been using a creative vision M the last couple of months and haven't had a problem yet.
