Just wondered have any posters any dealings with the online bank rabodirect.ie?
I was thinking of starting a Business savings account with them..
They are offering interest rates at over 4% which is a lot higher than most banks
I'd be a bit wary of doing banking online so just wondered if anyone else has good/bad things to say about this bank

online is the only to go LL, i saw that ulsterbank have an online savings account that gives 4.5%, if you did your banking through them it would make perfect sense to use that.  I can't see that there'd be a problem using that for transfers from your business account, however in order to maximise any business savings account you'd really need to use that bank for all your banking needs - i say that because normally you'll only have the extra cash around for a few days at a time and you'll probably need immediate access from time to time too.

Rabo have one of the highest secure ratings (AAA) for a bank, higher than BOIU and AIB. I have used them (personal saving) for a couple of years and they are excellent. They give you a little gismo for secure logging on and transfer of funds.

I have used Rabo also for personal savings. The service they provide is fine and its easy to transfer money in and out.

However, their interest rate at 4.3% isnt a good as it used to be. Ulster Bank have an online account at 4.4%. First Active have one that pays 5.22% so long as your balance does not exceed EUR 15k. And of course there is always the safest bank around at the moment - Northern Rock! They pay 5% on personal deposit accounts.
