Its about 5000.

Devenney is back in the squad, but I don't know if he'll be fit enough to start in the league campaign.

doirebhoy

You would think, but he's very hot and cold in the big games. He's also 31 and has been struggling with injuries over the years. He was rushed back last year and never healed properly, which is why he has been out of the league, so hopefully he'll be completely right before he gives it a go this time.

Apparently Colm Kelly very unlucky not to get a penalty.

Donegal lead by 1-13 to 2-8 with six minutes to go.

Beano McDonald on for Ross Munnelly.

Looks like curtains for Laois

1-14 to 2-8 with about 3 minutes left, including injury time.

Laois could've had four or five goals today. Some near misses and good saves by Michael Boyle have kept Donegal in it.

Laois have been very indisciplined, constantly mouthing off at the referee and giving up frees and yards. Apparently they should have had at least one penalty, so I suppose its understandable.

Final score Donegal 1-14 Laois 2-8

What are the permutations for Donegal to qualify...

Am I right in saying that we need to beat Derry, with Kerry drawing or losing.
or
if Kerry win, we need to beat Derry by 5 pts more than Kerry win.

That sounds about right.

As long as we put in a decent performance against Derry, I'm not too bothered, although it would be nice to make a league final for the third year running. We haven't played too well so far in the league, except for stretches of the Galway game.

Allianz NFL Division One: Donegal 1-14 Laois 2-8

Donegal kept their hopes of making the Allianz NFL Division One finals alive thanks to a three-point win over injury-ravaged Laois at Ballyshannon on Sunday afternoon.

Laois, meanwhile, are relegated after picking up just one point in the league this year after another close defeat in what has been a disappointing campaign for Liam Kearns' team.

Donegal still need a win against Derry next weekend against Derry in Letterkenny if they are to harbour any hopes of retaining their league title.

Laois, who went into this clash shorn of the talents of Noel Garvan and Padraig Clancy, nearly upset the odds, leading by a point after 49 minutes in a an absorbing clash.

Indeed, they nearly snatched the points in dramatic fashion right at the death when Dónal Brennan fired in a goal-bound shot that was brilliantly stopped by Donegal goalkeeper Michael Boyle.

Donegal held a 1-8 to 1-6 lead at the interval, the Donegal goal scored by David Walsh after he punched the ball to the back of the net.

The Laois goal came from Padraig McMahon, but it was the start of the second half when the O'Moore County really threatened to make a fatal dent in Donegal's league challenge.

Laois raced out of the blocks in the second period, and a Paul Lawlor goal followed by points from Ross Munnelly and David Murphy put them in the lead [2-8 to 1-9] after 44 minutes.

Amazingly though Laois failed to score in the final 26 minutes as Donegal fired over five points without reply.

Michael Hegarty opened the floodgates with a free on 51 minutes before Colm McFadden - impressive throughout – sealed victory with four unanswered points.

Brennan had that late, late chance to snatch a win, but it was not to be for Laois as they face the prospect of Division Two football next season
