Hoops going around to the back affect Numbering Jerseys. Celtic, Newcastle utd and Juve have all abandoned hoops or stripes going to the back of their jerseys for this reason.


The numbers were clearly visible a generation ago with the band around the back

It's all about Shtantons etc selling more jerseys . An elegant timeless jersey wouldn't sell enough for them.
