I just read that thread you were on over on OWC yesterday (having only registered a few weeks ago) and I think it would be fair to say that you were practically ran off the site for daring to defend the GAA from a number of complete head the balls who insisted the GAA was a racist organisation. It was the kind of stuff you'd see on a National Front or BNP site. I'm suprised you lasted as long as you did to be honest.

Nasty stuff isnt it.
Would you be arsed to put up with that, even if you were accused of "hissy fits" for not sticking around for more?

Sure, there was some strong stuff, some of it intemperate, some of it even rather extreme. A bit like someone from "my side of the house" coming onto this Board, to see what sort of a reception he might get. (Or even something similar to "Dublin Fella"'s reception when he stood up for the Shams on the Thomas Davis thread)

Nonetheless, the majority of posters were interested in having a debate, in a reasonable manner (Also like this Board)

Moral of the Story? If you can't take it, don't give it out.

[For the record, OWC, GAABoard and one other sports site are the only ones on the entire web I ever bother with, since I think they are each pretty good, albeit each is moderated with a slightly different touch]

I wasnt exactly "giving it out" EG.

I posted on two topics to start the deluge.

Firstly I explained that I didnt think Nicky Brennan saying "ulster" was to avoid saying "northern Ireland", more so as the game he was at was between Donegal (not in NI!) and Down.
The second was when I commented that it was good to see Darren Graham back with Fermanagh and I hoped the guys who abused him were punished sufficiently.

It was hardly going on there to stir trouble

I'm not interested to be honest Sammy. Sure you should know yourself as you were posting on it. There was a lot of utter nonsense and garbage in that thread with nasty undertones to it and frankly I don't feel like trawling through it again to pick out samples. Once was more than enough.

I realise there are a few head the balls on here that don't have a good word to say about OWC but some on OWC itself matches them and more.
