Folks, will be in NYC between 16/04/08 and 20/04/08

What sports events (baseball, gridiron, basketball, ice kockey, etc.) can I get to see at that time of the year, if any?

Baseball season will just have started
NHL and NBA Seasons will be finishing
No NFL as it is over in February.
MLS starts in April as well

he's done nothing in the league - I don't think he even scored last season

He scored a brilliant free kick against New England...was at the LA/Red Bulls game he was class that night set up 3 goals but they were still beat :-\

Try to get to a Yankee game...the mets suck ;)

Gabriel_Hurl

His only LA goal was in the Superliga against DC United

I watched as many LA games as I could, I feel like he definitely inspired the rest of the team during the games in which he played. You could tell he was a class apart, even at half mast. His touch, vision, movement and space creation were very evident in the MLS

You'll miss the Knicks last home game by 2 days (barring some unprecedented miraculous turnaround, they aren't going to be anywhere near the playoffs!). The NJ Nets might make the playoffs, although they are not looking too hot either. They play in the Izod Center, the arena out in the Meadowlands. The playoffs might start that weekend.

The Rangers could well be in the playoffs, which will be in their early stages around that time. Tickets will probably be hard to come by though. The NY Islanders and the NJ Devils are the other two local hockey teams. The Devils play in Newark at the Prudential Center. The Islanders play in Uniondale out in Long Island.

The baseball will just have started. Soccer begins at the end of March (the NY Red Bulls play in Giants Stadium).
