Telescopes

would love one myself..had one a a child but could barely see the moon never mind a star...would be unreal to know what lay in the darkness out there beyond the stars, have though about it many times, (drunk mostly)

I bought a Lidil telescope about 4 years ago and found it pretty good. i never really got mad into it but still take it out the odd time on a clear night.
the quality of the telescope itsself is pretty good and since i got mine they have introduced a new digital model which you can plug into your p.c and it will find find the stars for you. the last time they were on sale they were retailing for less then €200.00 i think.
I think it also comes with a camara attachment for thaking pictures of what you can see.

If the truth be known, I'm just as bad. Actually I am pondering getting a new toy in the next few weeks. Must make a thread about that today, as I don't know what kind to get.

Had a telescope when I was a lad it was great, could see the "seas" on the moon.

Then the wee brother kicked the lens in!!

yeah, though between being away from home and cloudy nights I've only got using it once.
It did take about two hours to set up, I swear to God the worst instructions ever!
