I was surprised to read in Christy O'Connor's book that the Clare hurling Championship was a group affair...as for the Kerry Championship(s)...you need a degree in stats to keep track on all that stuff....... ???

I miss the straight knock-out in Mayo. And the fact that league used to have the power to determine championship status. (Div 1 Senior, Div 2 Intermediate etc) Ah the 90s...

Anybody else pissed off with the way their Co championship dragged on for so long last year? Mayo were knocked out of the championship on the 26th of June, yet the final wasn't till 24th of October last year. The mind boggles. Any other county in this situation? One game a month.

Most other Counties did better in the Championship than the rhubarbs in 2010. ;)

We're going to bring home the SAM

The real fun then is when the losers from the 2nd round go into a relegation playoff to see who is relegated to Intermediate!!!

Perhaps it was, but I'm on about counties who were knocked out early like us.

New system in Ros this year ... 3 groups of 4. Top 2 go through to Quarters , then a 3 way play off between the 3rd teams for the other 2 places.
Bottom 3 play off for relegation.
8 Weekends required barring replays so the CCC had better get thrier schedul right or perhaps we can get to the Connacht Final again   ;) :D so freeing up some weekends late June early July
