Installing old PC Games on Windows XP

I got a copy of Championship Manager 97/98 a few months ago and I couldn't install the game properly onto XP.  I tried installing DOS Box but it didn't pan out.  Anybody got any handy solution?

You can try right clicking on the setup.exe file and then selecting properties and then tell the game to run in compatability mode for Windows 98.  This is usually more effective on programs than installers though
