charged €13 into the dublin senior football quarters last week- thought that was excessive. then my mate at work told me his father was charged €25 notes into the wexford senior hurling semis last weekend- i realised then it was cheap!

No, the €13 euro was a little steep, €10 would have been fine, €25 is an absolute joke - we've been over all this before, about where the money goes and so on, but personally I would not pay €25 to get into a club semi-final on a point of principle.
Why don't county boards have a minimum donation of say €10, if people want to pay extra then that's up to them.  Btw Indiana, what sort of attendances were at the Dublin quarters?
I know we've said before that prices tend not to impact attendance, but in Wexford it certainly would, many neutrals might just say fcuk it, I think I'll sit in and watch the TG4 game today, sure isn't the radio covering the match, I'll just listen to it on that.

£10 into the ground for Antrim hurling and football finals and another £2 into the stand. not bad value,

Going to sound a bit miserable here but i think the GAA have gotten a bit expensive with there pricing to local club games, myself and the wife took in our intermediate footballers semi final, both semi finals of the senior hurling and the u21 final, in 7 days that cost us £48.  everytime i go to a match now it seems to be a fiver each.

I know its not practical as the monies are split between clubs county boards etc but i would welcome a season ticket for local club matches

it not that the price puts me of going to games, but i'm hugely involved in my club, someone with a passing interest is going to be put off and thats a shame
What happens next????

I would say the majority paid £10 just to watch the hurling though, i came in just before the hurling started as i have little interest in the football.

INDIANA

ucd were playing so about 2,000. but they were several club fixtures on at the same time at all grades which wouldn't help things. really goes to show the level of fair weather fans we have

Tyrone county final on Sunday - £ 10

Seems to me that £10/€15 is standard for a double header county final. Minor/senior or Hurling/football. That to me is excellent value in todays prices. Anything more is a rip off, less you are getting a bargain!
