Louth Exile

There is a bar called Kozica (spelling may not be exactly correct, I think it translates to Goat!!)

Its only five minutes walking from old town square (the Irish pub end of it)

I'd highly recommend it, monster steaks at a great price, you can savage down a nice big steak and few tasty pints of local beer for f**k all, well worth a visit.

Funny, I did the absinthe 4 times on my stag in Prague - on top of a load of vodka and other concoctions - I had to be escorted home..........

If you want nice food their's a lovely restaurant under Charles Bridge, overlooks the river.

Also, the taxi drivers taking you from the airport to Prague drive at about 120 miles an hour and scare the shit out of you - be warned.

All in all, a nice place.

Goats Do Shave

Definately arrange a price before you get your taxi...thieving feckers!

If you are eating try & stay away from the main areas...walk out of the centre a bit...prices are serious in the centre!

Definitely watch the taxis. We got caught at the train station. Guy was parked at the official taxi rank and seen us coming.... We assumed he was a hackney, told him what district/area we were going to, he pulls out this official looking rates sheet and tells us the price in their local currency. Bottom line, we went approx 3.5km and paid 35euro for it! It's easy to get done believe me. Make sure its an official taxi (sign on roof etc) and make sure you find out what he is charging you before you start out. You should def not be paying anything more then what you would pay at home and in most cases a lot less.

If possible or if your confident enough I'd recommend the underground. Excellent service, clean and safe. (it never ceases to amaze me how former Eastern Block/communist countries/cities can have extensive undergrounds while Dublin....)
