Formula 1 on Setanta Ireland

a wee question lads

if you subscribe to setanta Ireland can you watch F1 in the north ? They broadcast it ok i think in the south, but because ITV have have the british rights, can we not get it.

I don't know the anwer, but I would have guessed not.

For the same reason that we weren't allowed to watch the 3pm Premiership matches on a Saturday when Setanta Ireland showed them.

It wouldnt be the same reason as itv (or no one else) shows soccer at 3 on a saturday. The reason you cant watch it at 3 on a Saturday is because the fa wont allow games to be broadcast in "Britain" at 3.

its on utv for free so you no need for setanta. i take it from your post your are from the north of ireland

just to follow up on this lads, i have realised that i can get this when its on. anyone else in the same boat.  everone i asked wass under the impression that you couldnt unless you lived in ROI
