Brings me back to my holidays, as a kid, in Derrybeg in the Summer of 1977!

On this day, thirty years ago, the radio news headlines were full of the news that a child had been born in Australia, that same day, 7/7/77, at 7.07 in the morning and weighed in at 7lbs 7ozs!   

Happy 30th birthday, whoever you are!

My Gran died on the 7'th of the 7'th. (Years ago though)

7/7/77, 8/8/88 and 9/9/99 were all more significant but still the world didnt end on any of them!

8/8/88 was massive for the Chinese. While it might be a load of old balls to us, they think it's very auspicious, and a seriouys amount of money is invested on such dates, particularly this one. The Chinese  - a great bunch of lads!

If I rmemeber rightly one of Randy Andy and Fat Fergies cubeens was born on 8/8/88.  There was awful debate about her name and would it be something silly like Octavia.  Lucky for her she was called Beatrice(or Eugenia I can never remember).

It could have been worse she could have been call Felicia
