Didn't your man in the beard there write the Mountains of Pomeroy as well as spent a year hiding in a student house in the Holylands.

Indeed, Dr George Sigerson (he of Sigerson Cup fame), and as for the year in the Holylands I'm not absolutely sure.

Hate to admit it, but i find myself singin that f@ckin song to my kids all the f@ckin time, when i should be singin 'Back home in Derry' or 'The gem of the Roe' or some other decent Derry song. That Pomeroy ditty is too f@kin catchy!
