The last 10 minutes of the Galway v Tipp semi final as the old lad beside me went from being white as a sheet to saying "my heart" or "I'm going to be sick" to half throttling me and pucking me on the arm about a dozen times lol.

ONeill

Probably Antrim's comeback v Laois.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Tiernan McCann rising to his feet after being brutally manhandled.

Two cracking games played in awful conditions. The under 21 football final and the Ulster club championship final.  Says alot about the senior inter county championship which didn't really produce any lasting memories

This seems to be the stock phrase about last year. There was plenty of cracking moments in the inter county season. Off the top of my head...
Westmeath v Meath
Kerry v Cork drawn game
Dublin v Mayo both games
Donegal v Tyrone
Kerry v Tyrone
Laois v Antrim
Fermanagh v Roscommon
Donegal's first half v Armagh was as good as you'd see anywhere
Mayo's first half performance v Sligo was just incredible
Fermanagh's performance v Dublin

You scrapped the bottom of the barrel with some of those moments.

Alan Brogan's point in the all Ireland final.

Honorable mention to the goal scored by Cathal Dunbar for wexford u21 v offaly. Worth checking out on YouTube. Goal of the season in hurling.

The back door system has torn the arse out of most of those. Takes away from excitement as you know loser lives on...

I was more responding to this well trotted out claim that there was no memorable moments from this years championship. Granted, it wasn't the best but there was plenty of decent action.
That was never a square ball!!

Mine too. Feck all happened with Armagh.

Best football game Galway were involved in this year was the U-21 final in Tuam v Ros'. Absolutely terrific match. Real shame Rossies couldn't go on to win a final they were well capable off.

Austin Gleeson's belter of a score in the League final. He hared down the right touchline from his own half, evading a challenge by the simple expedient of catching the ball and running past his opponent. This left him with the dilemma of not being able to catch it again so he simply swatted it over on the run. Each and every Déisigh in Thurles went absolutely potty. Even now, thinking about it makes me giddy. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things...

Westmeath beating Meath. Am not from either county, but my God, the buzz in Croker and the noise (and the places wasn't even full) in the last 10 minutes and the outpouring of joy at the final whistle...it was just incredible.

One of those all too few games where you're so wrapped up in events that you lose all sense of atmosphere and surroundings. The Hill was in full flow for us that day apparently. Like your man in Fever Pitch I spent most of the second half giving out that they were only giving us hope to have it crushed again. A special day.
Westmeath - Home of the Christy Ring Cup...

The U21 hurling championship is the most exciting of all hurling for the last few years, some real humdinger games in Munster and Leinster all the way through.

The Tipp/Galway semifinal where both managers went 15 on 15 and it could go either way was the standout game of this years hurling championship by some way sadly.

Hopefully Derek McGrath in Waterford and Davy/Donal O'g will take the handbrake off their two very talented squads and let their forwards play in forward positions we could see a real good championship next year.

As a Laois man there's only 1 winner........the final whistle in the Laois v Offaly hurling game.

The real glory is being knocked to your knees and then coming back. That's real glory. VinceLombardi
