No, I've just had it with banks! We need to get back to non-profit organizations, like Building Societies and Credit Unions.

So why not just use a credit union? That's what I do. I shut down my bank accounts years ago.

Can wages be paid into CU?
Walk-in down mchale rd , sun out, summers day , game day . That's all .

Around here, yes. ATM, online banking, mobile banking (including the very handy mobile deposits), etc. Pretty much anything a bank can do a credit union can do.
