Yeah to be fair Laois played them well and it will be interesting to see come latter stages if other teams take their lead.

Clan o'sullivan wouldn't be your typical midfielder either.

Are fennel and bastick both in squad?

Fennell gone- hasn't the mobility.

Bastick back now but has had a long lay off- a 20 minute man at this stage but a very good one

Whatever we are lacking we showed great heart and fight today the lads could of gone missing and hid but they didn't and we used the bench very well also and certainly learned a few things about the team today. Im thrilled for Alan Smith as well showed great today

We look like we might have a few players starting to emerge who are taking on the leadership mantle. Conway is as committed a young player a I have seen coming through for Kildare. Lyons and Ciaran Fitz kept us in it with some heroic defending. Smith is the typical confidence forward. He has always been capable of big performances. Just needs to start producing them consistently.
There's Seán Brady going in, what dya think Seán?

Captain Scarlet

I'll throw my hat at it if Eoghan Fla isn't starting the next day, himself and fellow sub OConnor made a big difference. Tomas' presence upset the Clare defence.
I was actually gutted for the opposition losing as that scalp, along with the hurlers being out, would have given football in the county a huge boost.
That being said glad of the win but my word so many unforced errors from experienced players Callaghan one prime culprit.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

Eoghan has to start the next day simple as that

Donnellys Hollow

Would expect him to start ahead of Niall Kelly.

Tom Connor has to be machine gunned before he gets awarded a free. McQuillan took the piss yesterday a number of times.

Heard about Byrne alright but I'd be surprised if you've another Costello and Kilkenny within the ranks.

They have one this year. O'Callagan very much in that class.

Kildare were only awarded 6 frees in this game? Is that a record? Think about that Clare only fouled 6 times in 75 minutes of football!

People wonder why Kildare fans think Joe McQuillian is at best incompetent and at worst biased!! Tomas O'Connor would have to have both legs cut off, his arms cut off and his head decapitated to just maybe win a free.
