Was wondering would he be back with Gooch's injury. I'll bet Eamonn Fitzmaurice made the phonecall anyway.

Fitzmaurice is a Finuge club man as well. I'm sure if he went to Galvin and said "Paul, we're badly stuck with Gooch out. Declan Sullivan and Donaghy are the only two leaders we have in the forward line, and Donaghy is an ape. Please come back and give me one more year to bring on the new lads."

I'm sure he'd find it hard to say no. The Centre Back experiment seems to be over.

One of the few Kerry men who would make the team of the decade in the noughties. I heard he didn't like the new Kerry kit. Seriously though class player and I enjoyed his lack of fear and commitment.

Marc, Tomás and Dara O Sé - that s 3 already.
Moynihan - that s 4
Declan O Sullivan and Gooch - that s 6 deffos and that s a good few. And that is a conservative evaluation.

Brian McGuigan would be number 11 ahead of O'Sullivan.

no chance. McGuigan was a super player, but was no O'Sullivan

For the Kerry hurlers? He's a decent hurler

Jeez that would be great to see if it ever happened. Ironically in a football dominated county he comes from a hurling pocket and club

O'Sullivan simply doesn't have the passing ability that McGuigan did at 11.

Yep, from Lixnaw, which is a hurling only club. Finuge, their sister club which is football only is 4 miles down the road. He played in Croker with the Kerry U21 hurlers in 1998 ironically enough and up to minor would probably have been more noted as a hurler!
