Men and women of knowledge.

I am a horrid fussy yoke and I hate watches that lose time - even if it's a second per month.

I want a watch that will be accurate all day, every day.

Now I know there are watches out there that sync to a radio signal once a day and makes the adjustment. However for this part of the world the nearest signal is in GB.

My question is are these sort of watches generally useless on the island of Ireland if we are too far away from a radio signal it can pick up or is it a powerful transmission on AM or LW or summat?

DCF77 in Germany appears to be the nearest time signal radio station, SS. It's Long Wave  and according to this, it should be available in Dublin, especially if you get the antenna booster mentioned.

I'm like yourself with regard to time and I've been thinking of looking into this too. Let me know how you get on, if you go ahead.

Thanks lads.

Some good reassurances there so I may take the plunge and purchase now.
