If the game had ended at the 60 minutes and there was a replay this weekend, would Limerick be complaining looking to be awarded the win?

Doubt they would. It didn't though.

I'm not overly excited at the idea of Galway winning another minor.

Don't turn up on September 8 then ;)

I don't believe Limerick have much of a case to be honest, yes they were hard done by but they weren't the first and won't be the last team to suffer as a result of a bad call. Quite frankly, I think they should take the result and move on, as deiseach says their terminology is really inappropriate and I feel they should leave both Waterford and Galway prepare for their All Ireland final.

Exactly, they lost extra time which was the new match.
What they are looking for is the given the win for the first game that was drawn.

;D Yeah it should be a good final anyway. I'm really looking forward to seeing Austin Gleeson, Stehen Bennett, Conor Whelan and a few others. From the Galway POV, I'll be more interested in spotting a few potential senior stars than the result, but Mattie and his boys will take some beating. Galway minor teams always do (but I don't say that proudly).

He's doing a John Terry on it!

'Sporting Limerick' trying to get their defeat overturned in every court in the land.
Thank God they eventually failed.

T Fearon

That deise is a real dead ringer for Meatloaf.

This Limerick official could land himself in a wee spot of trouble for this outburst :

A Limerick official has labelled the GAA authorities 'cowards in Croke Park' over their handling of the summer's Hawk-Eye controversy.

The Limerick minors had a perfectly good Barry Nash point incorrectly ruled out by the score-detection system in their All-Ireland semi-final against Galway.

The Treaty youngsters then lost the tie in extra-time and a series of appeals to have the match replayed were denied.

"In my opinion the highlight of the year was winning the Munster minor hurling championship in Thurles when they beat Waterford in a replay," said Mickey O'Sullivan, speaking to the Limerick Leader.

"This team then went to Croke Park to play Galway but they were beaten, not by Galway, but by a machine called Hawk-Eye, and the cowards in Croke Park, not one of whom had the guts to call a spade a spade and admit that these boys were wronged."

"The referee in his report also left a lot to be desired when he decided that a serious error, which happened that day, didn't even deserve a mention and of course his notebook couldn't be found 48-hours after the game."

O'Sullivan, of St Kierans, is Limerick's representative to the Munster Council and secretary of the West divisional board.

How very gratifying. Thanks, Mickey.
