As far into Europe as possible......suggestions lads?

Thanks for the suggestions lads...should have clarified, going with a friend, bit of sighting-seeing followed by beers in the evening and chasing women...the usual thing.

Alright chaps,

I'm heading to Budapest in mid-august and then on to another city by train and then home from the second city. Can't decide where to go and was wondering if any of you have been to any of these places and could recommend them..

Belgrade - sounds fantastic but put off by having to fly to England and then another flight home (cost!)
Bratislava - I'm put off by stories I have heard about the place.
Ljubljana - anybody ever been here, whats it like?
Vienna - I'm not that fussed but perhaps its good?
Brno - sounds good but again have to fly home via Stansted.
Bucharest - bit of a jaunt by train but can fly home to Dublin.

Any advice, suggestions much appreciated!

Lived in Vienna for a few months and would recommend it very highley. Can't wait to go back to the place. Travelled to Bratislava from Vienna twice down the river. Wasn't impressed with the place at but never stayed the night and don't know what the night life is like.

Feck, had a nice B&B booked for Venice at a good rate.  Got an email to say that the building is unsafe and they have refunded my money!

Any advice on any companies that do decent rates as Venice seems to be a dear hole?!

Nice place. Small enough city.
Slovenia is a good spot, IMHO, friendly people.

Great City (huge). Plenty to do and see. Baths and serious nightlife (women)!!!

Seemingly great for Christmas Market!!
