Any man who cooks should be ashamed of themselves. I'll bring home the meat, you cook it woman.

Same as any man who allows their wife to hammer nails or paint walls. Shameful.

Agreed, sponges the lot of ye!

Turnip is a seriously underrated vegetable, they're lovely.

Anyway LS, try these:

Meatballs:
1:2 ratio of pork & beef mince
diced chorizo (optional)
chopped basil (optional)
finely chopped chilli (optional)
salt & pepper

Mix well and shape into small meatballs (1 - 1.5" diameter, any larger and they take ages to cook) and leave in the fridge

Sauce:
passata
onions
peppers
chilli (optional)
red wine vinegar (a few tablespoons worth) (optional)

Fry the onions for 5-10 minutes, then add the rest of the ingredients and cook for another 10 minutes.
Add the meatballs and stir in (don't mash the feckin meatballs)
Add a couple of slices of buffalo mozarella on top and put in into the oven at 180-200 without a lid until the meatballs are cooked through
Serve with pasta (normally tagliatelli for me)
