Well the debate fest that is the GAA Congress is kicking off tomorrow in Kilkenny - although mild in comparision to previous years there are some interesting motions up for discussion including a new proposal from the Rule Book Task Force (think this is in relation to discipline)
5. Eligibility rule for College teams in McKenna Cup
11. Hurling officer being introduced to County Committees
15. Debarring college teams from provincial and All-Ireland Club Championships
16. Allowing Divisional teams, with restrictions, to compete in the Club Championships
17. Changes to the playoff arrangements of the hurling Championships
18. HDC's new hurling format
22. Temp subs in higher grade Championship games allowed on without affecting their Championship status
28. Blood sub rule ammended

Anyone heading to it from the GAA Board? Any of ye youngsters going as Under 21 delegates?

QuoteAllowing Divisional teams, with restrictions, to compete in the Club Championships

Not going, but would be very interested to know what are the restrictions in the above proposal.

South Kerry have been Kerry county champions this last 3 years and it would have been nice to see the likes of Maurice Fitzgerald and Denis Dwyer trying to get back to play in Croke Park again.
2011: McGrath Cup
AI Junior Club
Hurling Christy Ring Cup
Munster Senior Football

Its something that has to be looked at, as there will be teams that would fancy themselves at a lower level in the all ireland club series.

I was speaking to a friend in armagh, who was saying that every senior team in the county ( bar cross)could  degrade ( no such word, but you know what i mean) themselves and play or be eligible for the intermediate championship as crossmaglen have won the senior for 10 years on the trot

I think the restriction might be an amalgamation of no more than 3 clubs (possibly even 2 clubs)....
Well I could keep it above
But then it wouldn't be sky anymore
