Giving it charities is a load of balls IMO. Actual amount that goes to a good cause is about 15% of what you give the rest is for the fulltime employees who are there to look after it!!

We have first hand experience of the Irish Cancer society. A huge amount of volunteers who work for nothing and provide incredible after care. The Childrens hospital well, that's what it is a Hospital struggling to survive. It needs every penny it can get.

I used to think the guys in town asking you for money via a monthly payment were volunteers, turned out they were students getting paid £6 an hour!!

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

I wouldn't give anything to those people, or Concern or Trocera (sp) I'm talking about the after care we got through counselling by people who volunteer their time for the Irish Cancer Society. People who volunteer to drive young people to their treatments who are scared. People who give up their time to organise walks and gym work for people who are recovering from cancer.
They are getting a large chunk of my lotto win when I win it.

On a separate note. Myself and three guys from the office got 5 numbers in the main lotto draw we won €1268 . I had to go into lotto HQ to collect the cheque. The most miserablest **** came out to me to give me the cheque, sign here, here and here. Big miserable head on him . If my job was giving people lotto wins I don't think I could be miserable. This guy was unbelievable.

It would be great fun to spend a million on lottery scratch cards and see how much you win back.
You'd be scratching the cards continuously for months and it's always a good buzz when you win a couple of bob on them.

I thought when you donated to Trocaire most of the dough wasn't absorbed in "administration costs" ?

I'd give the bros and sis's a few quid to pay of their mortgages. Have a fcukin humungous party in the club with all my mates. Sort the club out with a few quid. Then buy a house overlooking the Blasket Islands, invest the rest and spend the rest of my life walkin round the mountains in Kerry with the odd wee pint in Muiris Dan's or Máire Bawns 8)o ;D
