hold on will the 'IMMERSION' work with a variable voltage from a permanant magnet alternator! jeez if boiling water is the only problem i'll be delighted :D 8)

Sure try it for the craic and tell us what happens.
I doubt very much you will get heating elements to work with anything under 200volts

If everything is working fine it is safe enough.i don't understand how your vent goes out a hole in the wall,it should be piped over your tank.and it definitely should not be producing steam under any circumstances.as for the electrical side of things,haven't a clue.

what.. showers, washing, baths, dishes, wash the car.. and on and on
half the oil you burn goes toward heating water in your tank. otherwise i'd have to buy batteries or go on the grid

you can buy them any size you like. when you try to boil a kettle on a little petrol generator the pull on the engine slows it down therefore lowering the actual voltage available. kettles work an immersion is like a kettle i think.
