Seems to be going reasonably well. About 6 points to the good at the minute. Is Stephen Bray playing? When was that change made I wonder.

The platform was set with the two lucky goals Meath got the 1st a freak goal a long pass that bounced over our keepers head & into net the 2nd goal Collins our corner back was pushed over but for some reason officials didn't see it. I guess that's the type of luck you get when trying to fight off relegation. After shocking 1st half display ( TBH we were only playing for pride at that stage) we dominated the 2nd half however we only won it 9-5 because our shooting was erratic & we couldn't take the goal chances that came our way. Towards the end of the game we missed a 21 yard free Meath went up the field & scored a 50 yard free against the wind TBH that really summed up our day & indeed our league campaign this year.

So div 4 is looking very likely for us now at least the local derby with Leitrim should draw some interest  :-\

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Jekyll and Hyde stuff at the Hyde from us. Terrible 35 minutes followed by our best half all year. The wind was a factor but it doesn't go even most of the way to explaining the difference. If the first half wasn't so dire we could have been in a winning position by the end but if we can continue the form from the second half two points in Casement is more than possible.

Wouldn't be drowning in the relegation pity party yet, a win against Antrim gives us two shots at survival and one point from the final two games will be enough. A loss to Antrim and Rossfan can allow the tears to start rolling.

Shite day, terrible poor crowd, shocking stuff from us in the first half ( Devaney excepted), a bright first 5 minute sin the second with Compton's introduction coupled with Dev continuing his excellence gave us hope but a totally loose defence and a reversion to slow handpassing, total look of disorganisation not to mention bad shooting made sure we never looked like winning.
The players Syf keeps hyping were awful today and if we manage to win in Casement next week then it says more about Antrim than us.
Meath were just that bit sharper and more clued in as to how you play the game but were still poor and got 2 goals that a proper( as opposed to an apprentice/trainee) Ref would have disallowed for the fouls on ros defenders.
Time Miley got a game in goal as Geoffrey must feel he has a job for life, Domo badly needed back which would mean we'd have 2 defenders in our defence then (as opposed to attacking wing back types that don't mark anyone), unfortunately midfield is a total achilles heel while I'd be somewhat hopeful of our forward line improving as the year progresses + Senan returning.
However Division 4 is almost a reality for the 2nd time in 3 years which has to mean we just haven't got the players who can compete at Senior level despite all their under age success. :'( :(
