A decent free taker.
I would think that this is negative in what it doesn't say. In truth it's what I would have expected

It has been an unusually positive thread, says as much about Oisin as it does about the board.

I suppose there is always one though.
I'm gonna show you as gently as I can how much you don't know.

Amazing for the Board--5 pages of positive remarks with no negativity! It took Oisin to achieve this!!!
Why would anyone be negative about him unless there was something to be negative about??

nice lad and a wonderful footballer. i remember his county debut jeez there wasnt much to him. at the time armagh had about 6 freetakers all of them were useless they took it in turns to miss. i couldnt believe it when this lad with girls legs started slotting them over from all over the place and hes been doing it ever since. i'll never forget the cross v st, micheals enniskillen game in clones. enniskillen played all the football and were leading with about 10mins to go. oisin and jim mcconville robbed them with pure craft and a dogged determination to win. thats what oisin is all about- 'winning'. i hope he follows up his football with a coaching post we had him at our club a couple of times and he has a great way with him.
all the very best oisin you will be missed.

Small point, that was Enniskillen Gaels.  St. Michael's is the school.
was i thinking of the band? gaels it is.. great result either way ;)

Oisin was possibly the steadiest most reliable club and county forward to play the game of his era  He didnt have the individual  brilliance and skills of Canavan, nor the thoroughbredness of a Maurice Fitzgerald, was unspectacular in his approach but lethally effective under pressure.  In summing up his approach to the great game I would describe him as efficient as a German, without the flair of an Italian and with the contribution level of any true great of our games.

Only when he quit playing for Armagh did we really appreciate how good he was.For years if Armagh had a free or 45 it was taken for granted it would be a score.

AI semi final replay with Kerry stands out. Oisin was on fire that day, practically carried the Armagh team that day and only for a great O'Keefe save from him Armagh could have won.
