I heard Dr Briffa give a speech a number of years ago (maybe 10!).

He was a good speaker, but I only remember 2 things from it!

Eat real butter (in moderation of course) rather than the spreadable hydrogenated stuff, which he said had to be bad for you because of the chemicals injected into it.

And at the end someone asked him a question about the use of microwaves. He stalled for a few moments, presumably wondering to himself whether he should say what he was thinking, and then came out with - Throw it onto your driveway, and drive over it!

how about someone post a diet for the common man, its way too easy to put on the beef once you stopped playing football, and spent half the day looking at a computer

I know some people will think this is all complete and upper tripe (ha!-food gag!) . But the blogs are interesting stuff for anyone who is interested in their own health.
